Day 1: Arrival / Yerevan City Tour

Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport. Meet and greet with a company representative, followed by a transfer to the hotel. Check-in and start the Yerevan city tour. Get acquainted with Yerevan — one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with a history spanning over 2,800 years. During the tour, you will see the most famous landmarks of the Armenian capital, exploring its rich history, culture, and vibrant modern life.

Our first stop is Victory Park, situated on one of the city's highest hills. Here stands the iconic "Mother Armenia" monument, a symbol of strength and peace. The observation deck offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Yerevan and biblical Mount Ararat.

Next, enjoy a walking tour to the Cascade Complex, one of the city's most recognizable architectural landmarks. The complex is a massive limestone staircase adorned with fountains, flowerbeds, and numerous modern art installations. Ascending to the upper terraces rewards guests with a stunning view of the city center.

We then continue to the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, an architectural masterpiece and the cultural heart of Armenia. Afterward, take a stroll down Northern Avenue, a modern pedestrian street connecting the Opera Theatre to Republic Square, lined with boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and modern residences.

The tour concludes at Republic Square — the heart and central hub of Yerevan. Surrounding the square are the Government House, the National Gallery of Armenia, and the History Museum of Armenia. In the evening, the square comes alive with its famous singing fountains and illuminated facades. Transfer back to the hotel. Free time.
Day 2: Yerevan – Garni Temple – Symphony of Stones – Geghard – Lavash Baking Masterclass – Azat Gorge – Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Kotayk Province to explore some of Armenia's most famous historical and natural landmarks.

Our first stop is Garni Temple, the only surviving Greco-Roman pagan temple in Armenia and the entire Caucasus region. Built in the 1st century AD by King Tiridates I and dedicated to the sun god Mithra, Garni stands dramatically at the edge of a scenic gorge, representing a masterpiece of Hellenistic architecture. The site offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons.

Next, descend into the famous Garni Gorge to visit the "Symphony of Stones" natural monument. This unique geological formation features colossal hexagonal basalt columns that resemble giant organ pipes. Carved by nature over millions of years, these cliff faces are considered one of Armenia's most impressive natural wonders.

Our next destination is Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Founded in the 4th century, this monastic complex is partially carved directly into the adjacent mountain cliff and is celebrated as a peak of medieval Armenian architecture. The monastery's name ("Monastery of the Spear") stems from the Holy Lance that pierced Jesus Christ, which was kept here for centuries. Incredible acoustics, ancient rock-cut chapels, and a serene spiritual atmosphere make Geghard a deeply memorable highlight.

Following the tour, enjoy a traditional Armenian lavash flatbread baking masterclass. Participants will learn the process, bake their own lavash, and sample it fresh directly from the subterranean tonir clay oven.

After the masterclass, embark on an easy light hike through the scenic Azat River Gorge. The path winds past rocky landscapes, natural terraces, and verdant valley stretches, revealing magnificent canyon views. The route is suitable for people with average physical fitness and requires no specialized equipment. Return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
Day 3: Yerevan – Echmiadzin (St. Hripsime, St. Gayane) – Zvartnots Temple – Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Vagharshapat (Echmiadzin), the spiritual capital of Armenia and one of the world's ancient Christian centers. It serves as the official seat of the Catholicos of All Armenians and houses the country's holy relics.

The first stop is the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Founded in the early 4th century following Armenia's adoption of Christianity in 301 AD, it is considered one of the world's oldest cathedrals. According to tradition, the location was revealed to Saint Gregory the Illuminator in a divine vision where Christ descended from heaven and struck the ground — hence the name "Echmiadzin," which translates to "The Descent of the Only Begotten."

Next, visit Saint Hripsime Church, a quintessential example of 7th-century early Christian Armenian architecture. Built on the site where Saint Hripsime was martyred, the church is renowned for its architectural harmony, monolithic stone design, and peaceful ambience.

Continue to Saint Gayane Church, also built in the 7th century and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Erected in honor of Abbess Gayane, who suffered martyrdom alongside Hripsime, its clean, impressive lines represent a landmark in early medieval church design. Short rest.

After resting, head to the ruins of Zvartnots Temple, another 7th-century architectural monument built under Catholicos Nerses III "The Builder." Though reduced to ruins by a powerful earthquake in the 10th century, the site remains an awe-inspiring testament to early medieval engineering. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, Zvartnots also offers a stunning backdrop of Mount Ararat across the plains. Guests will have free time to explore the grounds, take photos, and learn about its history.

After completing the excursions, return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
Day 4: Yerevan – Lake Sevan – Sevanavank – Dilijan – Haghartsin Monastery – Yerevan

After breakfast at the hotel, set off for Lake Sevan — one of Armenia's most beloved natural treasures. Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,900 meters above sea level, Sevan is one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes in the world, often called the "Jewel of Armenia" for its azure waters and surrounding alpine peaks.

Upon arrival, visit Sevanavank Monastery, located on the Sevan Peninsula. Founded in the 9th century, this monastery complex offers panoramic views of the entire lake after a short climb up the stone stairs

Following a walk along the lakeshore and lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Dilijan — a lush resort town frequently referred to as "Armenian Switzerland" due to its dense forests, mountain air, and picturesque hillsides. Take a walking tour through the historical center of Sharambeyan Street (Old Dilijan), where 19th-century traditional wooden architecture, balconies, and artisan workshops have been restored. Browse local souvenirs, observe traditional craftwork, and enjoy the mountain town charm.

Next, venture deeper into the lush national park forests to visit Haghartsin Monastery, a hidden medieval complex surrounded by woodland scenery. Return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
Day 5: Departure / Airport Transfer

Breakfast at the hotel. Hotel check-out and transfer to Zvartnots International Airport for departure.
